Saige Biography

Hailing from Dublin, Saige is an Alt-Pop outfit making waves with the debut singles Soothe Me and new release Ultraviolence, which have taken critics and streaming sites by storm. Saige cites inspiration from a mix of artists, such as Lykke Li, The XX and London Grammar, combined with a love of 80s Synth Pop and the 'Emo Pop' of youth.   Speaking about what inspired Ultraviolence, Saige explains: 'Ultraviolence is probably best described as an insight as to what can go on in at home behind closed doors.

Speaking about what inspired Ultraviolence, Saige explains:

'Ultraviolence is probably best described as an insight as to what can go on in at home behind closed doors. It explores torment, the yo-yo of emotions and numbness in an unhealthy relationship'.

Outgrown is the feel good breakup anthem from Saige's upcoming EP (March'23), 'Sparks'.

Filled with catchy vocal hooks, punchy guitars and sassy lyricism, Outgrown depicts Saige being over-it and done with an exes' negative energy, moving on and feeling fabulous.

“I wrote Outgrown after coming out the other side of a toxic relationship when I began to feel myself again. I was mentally worn out and honestly, I didn’t recognise myself for a long time. Feeling strong and confident again was such an empowering feeling! I wrote Outgrown about celebrating this.”

Produced by Irish producer Alex O’Keeffe, the track is bursting with energy and a confident delivery to rival contemporaries such as Tate McRae and Olivia Rodrigo.

Saige has announced a headline show and EP launch, on Friday March 24th 2023 in the Workman’s Cellar. Tickets on sale now from ticketmaster.ie with special guests to be announced.
