Brave Giant Biography

Brave Giant are an Irish indie/folk band from County Longford, consisting of Podge Gill (lead vocalist, electric guitar, acoustic guitar), Mark Prunty (lead vocalist, bass guitar, acoustic guitar), Ross McNerney (banjo, mandolin, vocalist) and Emmett Collum (drums, vocalist).[1]

Brave Giant have released their debut studio EP: The Lordy Lordy - EP (2016) [1] and have released two studio single: The Time I Met The Devil (2017), Way To Love (2017). The Lordy Lordy - EP, peaked #2 on the iTunes Store Album Charts, and with their single: The Time I Met The Devil, debuting on the iTunes Store Single Charts, peaked at #5, and with their second studio single: Way To Love, reaching #1. The Time I Met The Devil music video went onto get 3 nominations in the "Kinsale Shark Awards" for Best Music Video, Best Low Budget Music Video and Best Director.

The band has appeared on "The Late Late Show" (Irish TV series) with their performance of their single: The Time I Met The Devil.[2] The band has also released a mashup of Bob Marley: "Is This Love" and Daft Punk: "Digital Love" on YouTube, which has over 100,000 views and it went onto win the 2016 Apple Of My Eye Le Crunch song competition.[3] They have played at such venues as The Olympia Theatre, The Academy, Whelans, and The Workmans Club and they have played at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Longitude, Indiependence, Into The Wild and B.A.R.E in the Woods. The band has also done an half time performance at the 2018 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final at Croke Park.
